The Wales West Light Railway is located in Silverhill, Alabama and is a tourist railway which was built to simulate a Welsh narrow gauge railway. Guests can enjoy these little steam powered trains which have been in operation for over a hundred years. Besides entertainment this working railway offers a museum designed to educate those interested in the history of Alabama railway, narrow gauge engines and more.
The railway operates throughout the year offering decorated seasonal event trains during Easter, Halloween, Arctic Express, Cottontail Express, Miniature Steam-Up,and Christmas. One of the most famous attractions is the Day Out with Thomas event. Other special events include Thank You Snowbirds Bluegrass Festival, and two Miniature Trains Steam-Ups. The park is family friendly so it is without tobacco and alcohol free. Come and the special train called Steam Loco DAME ANN who takes her first breaths on cold winter day on a March morning outside the loco shed at the Exmoore Steam Railway.
